What to include if you're asking about a strategy

It saves a round trip, and it is usually enough for me to answer properly the first time:

• Which engine, and which instrument you pointed it at
• Whether it is a simulation or a live account
• What you expected to happen and what happened instead
• The date and time, so I can look at the same bars you were looking at

What I can't help with

I am not a licensed financial advisor and I do not give personalized investment advice. I will not tell you how much to trade, whether to take a particular trade, or what to do with your money. I can tell you exactly what an engine does, why it did what it did on a given day, and what its published drawdown was — and I would rather answer that question well than the other one badly.

I also do not manage accounts, accept funds, or trade on anyone's behalf. If you ask me to, the answer is no.

Before you write in about an install: everything here runs on NinjaTrader®, which is our featured and recommended platform, with NinjaTrader Brokerage as our recommended broker and Kinetick® for market data. The platform page covers what you need and why.
